01 — Quick Reference

Statuses

Record Status flow
Supplier prospective → active / restricted → suspended → inactive
Capability proposed → approved / restricted → suspended / expired
Approval pending → approved / conditional → suspended / expired (or rejected)
Supplier item active / restricted → superseded / inactive
Supplier issue open → investigating → action_required → resolved → closed

Statuses show as coloured badges in the lists: green approved / active, red suspended / rejected / critical, amber restricted / conditional / in progress, blue new.

The approval rule

A supplier is only ever treated as approved while the supplier itself is active or restricted and an approval covering the request is current (approved or conditional, within its dates). A suspended or inactive supplier is not approved whatever its old approvals or supplier items still say — that is how SUP-0070 is shown to other applications. Conditions on a conditional approval are passed on with the answer.

What the network does here

Message from What happens
Purchasing places an order it is counted in the supplier's performance for that month
Purchasing reports a delivery missed one late delivery is counted and a delivery issue opened for the order (once per order; an at risk warning is only noted)
Inventory rejects a receipt the rejection is counted and a quality issue opened naming the receipt and order (once per receipt)

Each new issue is published (supplier.issue_opened).
