R10 reference application. Built from the v0.14 Work & Supply reference pack. The demo data is fictional; company names, ABNs, part numbers and prices are illustrative.

What Supplier is

Supplier answers "who can we get this from, and may we?" It is a master and assurance service, not a second purchasing system: Purchasing owns orders and delivery dates, Inventory owns what physically arrived and whether it was accepted, Catalogue owns what an item is, and finance (SAP AP, a later stage) owns invoices and payments.

The 9 models

Suppliers (3) - Supplier — the supplier: number, legal and trading name, registration numbers, country, status (prospective → active / restricted / suspended / inactive), risk rating, payment terms, ERP vendor number. - SupplierSite — its offices, warehouses and workshops. - SupplierContact — people to call: commercial, technical, logistics, accounts, warranty, emergency.

Capability & approval (2) - SupplierCapability — what the supplier can do (supply, repair, rebuild, inspect, field service …) for a catalogue category or asset type. - SupplierApproval — where it is approved: by category, capability, site or contract, with dates and conditions.

Supplier items (1) - SupplierItem — the supplier's offer for one catalogue item: its own part number, lead time, minimum order and multiple, contract and price, preferred / approved flags. The catalogue item stays the identity; the supplier part number is only an alias.

Performance & issues (3) - SupplierPerformance — per month: orders, on-time and late deliveries, rejected receipts, quality incidents, rating. - SupplierIssue — a problem with a supplier (quality, delivery, commercial …), linked to the purchase order and goods receipt it concerns. - SupplierCorrectiveAction — what the supplier must do about an issue, and whether it was verified.

The demo suppliers

SUP-0042 keeps the network id Purchasing and Inventory already use, so their supplier references link here. New suppliers continue the series (SUP-0071 …).
